Author Archives: Ed Hill

Ed Hill Jr., a contributing sports writer with The Washington Informer, served as Howard University's director of communications from 1983-2017, earning recognition in the Howard University Athletics, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, and College Sports Information Directors of America Halls of Fame. His career began as a sportswriter for The Washington Post and Winston-Salem Chronicle, transitioning to an influential role as an adjunct professor at Howard. Hill has penned over 5,000 sports stories and produced 500+ publications for Howard athletics. Honored in the Cardozo High School and Kingman Boys and Girls Club Halls of Fame for his community service, Hill was named a Made Man by the NAACP in 2019, mentoring many who have excelled in sports communication.
